Tim Shieff and his "Way of The Rope" team cut, knot and finish their white, silver and golden (so much more glamorous than 'buff'!) Flow Ropes in-house.

The ropes are sourced in the UK, they appear to be braid on braid polyester and have the desirable qualities that characterise this kind of yacht rope. They are nicely finished at the ends with a shrink cap and come with a note saying who made that particular rope. A friendly touch!

I bought all three ropes on offer as a 'suite' of different sizes:

Piccolo

White - Small / 10mm diameter / 245cm between the knots / 0.28kg / 0.62lb

Golden Teacher

Golden - Medium / 14mm diameter / 250cm between the knots / 0.44kg / 0.97lb

Cœur de Lion

Silver - Large / 16mm diameter / 250cm between the knots / 0.74kg / 1.64lb

Variety is always good and I enjoy exploring the different kinds of flow that each rope offers. If you are only going to buy one the sizes seem to be very well judged, there's something for everybody.

I'm really enjoying the Piccolo, the 'Small' one. It's slim enough to go in a cargo pocket so I can Rope Flow in the woods when I take the dog for a walk. It has enough presence and feel to explore and is so light it keeps going indefinitely.
